Seattle Jazz Vespers is a concert-like setting for 100 minutes of Seattle's best professional jazz performed in the gothic sanctuary of Seattle First Baptist Church on First Hill. Admission is free. Seattle's jazz community loves performing at the Vespers because of the freedom they are given to perform their best music and the concert-like setting and great acoustics and sound system of the 1912 gothic church located at the crossroads of Seattle's First Hill and Capitol Hill. The church offers a non-sectarian 20-minute vespers in between the two acts of music and also takes an offering that largely supports the performers of the evening.
